When travelling within Europe, your pet needs an EU pet passport. Before you book your trip, find out about the individual regulations of the destination country. Leash and muzzle requirements, as well as the list of prohibited dog breeds ("attack dogs"), vary in individual countries. The respective embassies and the local tourist information offices provide information about this. Please note that you are responsible for ensuring that your pet meets the regulations and requirements of each country/territory you are travelling to.  DFDS | Canal route: Pets can be carried in a pet cabin. Up to two medium-sized dogs are permitted in the appropriate 4-berth outside cabins. Alternatively, dogs can be accommodated in the dog hotel for €30. It consists of kennels in 3 different sizes and you can visit your four-legged friend at any time and take them to the “walkies area”. If all these cabins are full, you can travel with the pet in a normal cabin, in which case a cleaning fee of EUR 75 will apply.  GRIMALDI LINES | If you want to take your pet with you in the cabin, you can purchase the Pet Kit for only €10 per cabin per journey. This service on board makes any type of cabin accessible to animals, so that the 4-legged traveler can always stay with their owner with maximum comfort, while managing the accommodation with the necessary care and hygiene. In particular, the cabin for which the pet kit is purchased is equipped with a specific bedding kit and, after use, is subjected to a cleaning treatment suitable for the presence of animals at the end of the voyage.
